After “Escape Room 2,” the movie night really picks up with “The Black Phone” and “Violent Santa.”

On December 15th, the third Sunday in Advent, ProSieben has planned a long film evening. It starts with the broadcast of the thriller sequel “Escape Room 2 – No way out”which comes from 2021. Director Adam Robitel was once again responsible for the production. ProSieben showed free TV in July 2023 and achieved a high target group market share of 11.5 percent. In the film, the secret organization Minos transforms the city of New York into a highly dangerous gaming area with surreal situations. Together with other participants, Zoey (Taylor Russell) and Ben (Logan Miller) try to get out of the devilish games alive. They quickly realize that they have been through this madness before.

The free TV premiere of will follow at 10 p.m “The Black Phone – Never talk to strangers”. The FSK-16 film was released in cinemas in June 2022 and stars Mason Thames, Madeleine McGraw, Ethan Hawke, E. Roger Mitchell, Troy Rudeseal, Jeremy Davies, James Ransone, Miguel Cazarez Mora and Tristan Pravong. The film was directed by Scott Derrickson, who also co-wrote the screenplay with C. Robert Cargill. The focus is on 13-year-old Finney, who is constantly bullied by his classmates, and his widowed father also takes out his frustration on him and his sister Gwen. One day the boys fall into the clutches of the masked child kidnapper “The Grabber”. Finney is locked in a basement where a black telephone hangs on the wall, but the cable is cut. But suddenly the doorbell rings.

And shortly after midnight, ProSieben served its viewers a free TV premiere. The action film “Mighty Night” with “Stranger Things” star David Harbor is scheduled between 12:05 a.m. and 2:20 a.m. and therefore briefly overlaps with the Clint Eastwood film “Cry Macho”which celebrates its free TV debut on Sat.1 until 3:25 a.m. (Quotenmeter reported). In “Violent Night,” a criminal gang crashes into the celebrations of the wealthy Lightstones. Scrooge (John Leguizamo) and his cronies have separated themselves into their assets and are not particularly gentle with their hostages. Luckily, Trudy (Leah Brady) is one of the brave children and can count on Santa (David Harbour). After the child’s cry for help, he swings on his sleigh and rushes to help.
